  • Accommodation Checklist!

To ensure you are prepared and avoid disappointment please refer to the below checklist for your pet’s upcoming stay:

Extra Services & Luxuries

Have you discussed and decided on any of the extra services available for your pet? We will ask you several questions upon arrival and you can discuss what is available and what you would like with our team then.

Options include Yappy Hour, Meaty Meals, Paddocks & Play and more.

Find all our extra available activities HERE.

Vaccines & Illness Prevention

  • A copy of your up-to-date vaccination (a photo on your smart phone is fine). Windamere takes their disease and illness policy very seriously and this is essential. Animals who do not meet our vaccine requirements will be turned away for the safety of the animal and our guests.
  • If you are unsure if your pet is vaccinated you need to consult your vet clinic immediately.
  • All guests must have a current vaccination (C5 for dogs & minimum F3 for cats). Windamere requires you have a one to two week grace period between your pet receiving their vaccination and boarding. Certificates must be brought in every visit.
  • Please do not send photos of vaccines to us before your arrival, please bring them on the day either in hard copy form or display an image of them on your phone to reception.

Diet

  • If you would like to bring your pets own food and avoid upset stomachs we can happily accommodate. Please label it clearly and provide feeding instructions, measuring requirements or have each meal individually packaged.
  • If supplying your own food, understand some days your dog may not want to eat or staff may not deliver it for several reasons. Any food remaining will be returned to you for future use.
  • Please do not feed your dog to soon before arriving, often pets are fed a large quantity and in their excitement can vomit or soil their accommodation almost immediately which is not a great start for them. We promise they will get plenty of food during their stay and food is a great way for us to bond with your pet quickly.
  • Food or treats considered a choking hazard will not be given during their stay

Medication

  • ALL medications must come in its original packaging form the veterinary clinic, please do not decanter it as we need the instructions. Your instructions must be the same on the label or a letter form your vet supplied.
  • Dogs currently suffering from current illness or injury should be discussed with Windamere as boarding may be unsuitable
  • We cannot accept pets requiring insulin injections.

Bedding, Toys & Belongings

  • You are not required to bring any bedding or toys, Windamere recommends using our equipment and has ample supply. We cannot guarantee the return of personal belongings.
  • Damaged items or those that include bean bag stuffing, batteries or other chocking hazards will not be permitted. We want to keep your pet safe!

Keeping Up to Date

We understand you may want to be updated on your pets stay while away. We are more than happy to supplies these but our first priority is the care of the pets in our care.

We strongly suggest if you would like an update to email us at info@windamereboarding.com.au or through our website contact rather than call so we can get to them when we have spare time.

Our team go above and beyond to take as many photos or videos of our guests, but these are done after our daily duties of cleaning and care. Pets who appear uncomfortable with cameras or interaction will not be pressured under any circumstance.

We have a range of available extra activities that do include a social media photo or video as part of the service

Stories and social media posts are put on our main platforms on Facebook & Instagram.

Emergencies

  • Every guest must have an emergency contact we can call in the event of an emergency here in Adelaide. In the event you cannot or do not supply one, Windamere will take all directions of our veterinarian at your own cost.
  • After hours emergencies are taken to SASH – Small Animal Specialist Hospital in Kent Town.
